The Farmhouse Edit: Mother's Day Gift Guide of Things she Actually Wants

Hi friends!

Welcome to the 50th edition of The Farmhouse Edit: where we share what we’ve been coveting and discovering, from the best of beauty and beyond.

Every Day is Mother’s Day

It’s only fitting that our 50th edition is a Mother’s Day Gift Guide of all of the things she actually wants this year! I tapped my mom for insider intel on all of the best, and most useful, gifts we can give to the woman who does it all, all year around. The theme here is things you can share because we know you’ll be stealing all of the items from her anyways.

Gift of Beauty:

A skincare routine you can both share, enjoy, and see results from - nothing better! This is the gift that keeps on giving - all of the vitamins, omegas and fatty acids that your skin needs to thrive. From plumping to hydrating and gently exfoliating this skincare routine truly does it all!

Gift of Entertainment:

Our fav thing to do together is an epic TV marathon: we get our favourite and most coveted snacks, special drinks, Eye Petals on, get into our comfiest sweats and cozy up for a non-stop marathon. We have decided this year to binge The Gilded Age - two full seasons of historical drama!

Gift of Great Food:

Two options here: either make her this delicious enchilada recipe that is healthy, tastes like a warm hug and will give her the night off cooking. OR if this isn’t feasible, I would gift my mom a subscription to NYT Cooking (if she didn’t already have one that we share). So many great recipes, you can both use the account, and trade recipes back and forth!

What I’m Reminding Myself:

My mom is my absolute best friend in the world and I try to acknowledge her sacrifices and hard work every single day. Not everyone is lucky enough to have an amazing mother by birth, but we can find our mother-figures in many different stages in life. I have moved around the US knowing absolutely nobody, yet I have met some of the most incredible women who are like mothers to me. It’s a special reciprocal relationship where we root for one another, and support each other no matter the hardship. That is the beauty of female friendships that go deep.

Until next week! xo Amandine
