The Farmhouse Edit: Edition 95

The Farmhouse Edit: Edition 95

Hi friends!

Welcome to the 92nd edition of The Farmhouse Edit: where we share what we’ve been coveting and discovering, from the best of beauty and beyond.

Beauty I'm Loving:

I LOVE a lip stain - most lippies just melt off after 30 minutes but a good stain will leave you with the perfect colour for most of the day, no need to reapply. I was so excited to try L’Oreals new lip stain; it was sheer, great colour, and easy to shop but it literally burned my lips! I am still recovering from this disaster (chapped and blistered) so I thought I’d share my favourite stains that are gorgeous AND safe. This one from Rare is also a lip oil which is great for dry lips, this one from Dior lasts ALL day, and this one from Fenty is a great combo of both - lasts all day and hydrates!

Recipe I'm Loving:

I’m always apprehensive about a TikTok recipe so I made sure to test this one before sharing and its a HIT! This is a delicious healthy dessert or decadent breakfast that you will absolutely devour. It’s like a healthy Neapolitan ice cream - strawberry, vanilla, a little chocolate drizzed and full of fibre filled chia seeds - I cannot wait for you to try it! Watch the original recipe here (I made a few tweaks!)

Strawberry Chia Yoghurt Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Two cups of yoghurt (I used greek)
  • 4 tbs chia seeds
  • 6-10 strawberries
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 3 tbs melted chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Blend together the strawberries and 1 cup of vanilla yoghurt until smooth, then mix in 2 tbs of chia seeds. Pour into either one large cup, or I poured it into smaller mason jars or mini wheck jars for single servings. You could even use ramikens.
  2. Mix together the rest of the yoghurt, maple syrup and vanilla bean paste. Pour this on top of the strawberry mixture.
  3. Drizzled the melted chocolate chips on top of each jar and put int the freezer to set!

Entertainment I'm Loving:

Years ago I recommended the book The Testaments by Margaret Atwood and they just made it into a show on Hulu!

It's the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale and follows three women whose lives are tangled up in Gilead in completely different ways. Without giving too much away, it's about secrets, survival, and what it actually takes to bring a regime down from the inside. Atwood wrote it 34 years after the original and it shows — it's sharper, faster, and honestly a little more hopeful (in the best, most hard-won way).

Find of the Week:

I have come down with the deep need to a) improve my bedroom overall, and b) find the perfect espresso brown sheets. After much sleuthing I found these beautiful brown linen sheets on Quince. Best part? They’re not insanely expensive and have incredible reviews.
