Beauty I'm Loving:
As we enter into the impending storm our skin is going to be affected by intense cold, harsh indoor heating and likely increased stress. But don’t fret because Inner Glow Face Oil is going to protect our skin through the harshest conditions. We are going to apply a few extra drops (3+) to our skin morning and evening to create a protective shield. This will inhibit excess water loss from our skin caused by the elements. The nourishing botanical oils will deeply penetrate the deepest layers - repairing damage and preventing it. The all natural aromatherapy of lavender, lemon peel and jasmine make for the perfect de-stressing moment because calm skin is glowing skin.

Recipe I'm Loving:
This has been my snacking hyper-fixation and I honestly don’t know how someone hasn’t jarred this product and sold it at every high end grocery store at a premium. This Black Sesame Butter only requires three ingredients, it’s packed full of healthy benefits, and it tastes INCREDIBLE. Based on the benefits alone I would eat this like medicine, but when I made it for the first time and realized its actually delicious I couldn’t believe it! Black sesame is a nutrient-dense superfood, highly rich in antioxidants, healthy fats, fiber, calcium, iron and magnesium. It is also said to help reduce grey hair by providing nutrients that support melanin production - I’ll certainly be putting this to the test! I love eating it on sliced apples or by the spoonful!
Black Sesame Paste Recipe:
- 1 cup toasted sesame seeds (ideally pre-ground so you don't have to do it at home - easy to find at your local asian market or online)
- 2-3 tbs honey
- 1-3 tbs oil
- pinch of salt
- mix or blend until smooth (adjust honey and oil until you reach desired consistency)
Entertainment I'm Loving:
Braiding Sweetgrass is a beautiful meditation on nature, time, and reciprocity and a gentle reminder that aging isn’t something to resist, but something to understand differently. Through stories of plants, seasons, and Indigenous wisdom, the book reframes aging as evolution: a deepening, not a diminishing.
Reading it feels like slowing down enough to notice what changes are meant to teach us; about patience, resilience, and the quiet strength that comes with time.
If you’ve been craving a softer, more expansive way to think about getting older, this one stays with you long after the final page.

Find of the Week:
Let’s repair our hair as we protect our skin, nourish our bodies and shift our perspectives on aging - what better way to ride out a storm!? I finally tried the viral K18 Hair Mask and I can report with certainty it’s worth the hype! My mom and I both tried it after washing our hair - my water is super hard, full of chlorine, overall a disaster for our hair. We both marveled at how much softer, smoother and easier to blowdry it was after using the hair mask. An absolute must try for anyone with dry, colour treated, or damaged hair. Find the Canadian (better price than Sephora or anywhere else!) and US link to this product!
