Hi friends!
Welcome to the *glowed up* 69th edition of The Farmhouse Edit: where we share what we’ve been coveting and discovering, from the best of beauty and beyond. Everything here would make the perfect holiday gift for your mom, MIL, daughter, BFF or yourself!
Beauty I'm Loving:
When it comes to holiday shopping I try to pick up items I know someone will love as they come along vs. rushing at the last minute. Victoria Beckham Beauty has given us the perfect opportunity with her 20% off sale! Her products are high performance, so luxurious and amazing for mature skin! I'll be buying her new foundation powered by Augustinus Bader - normally $118, I dont think I would ever spend that on a foundation, but currently $88 its worth a try considering I have seen nothing but rave reviews! Next is another cult fav - her super thin contour stick, I will be getting one for myself and my mom, it's really perfect for the makeup novice (my mom) and those looking for a very subtle and precise contour (me) - and her blush in the shade Fame - it looks like the perfect berry-rose.
Recipe I'm Loving:
I can confidently say I have finally mastered my brussels sprouts recipe! For too long they have been soggy, lacking flavour or missing that *it* factor they have at restaurants, but not anymore! These maple garlic brussels will be the hit of your dinner - I made them two nights in a row if that tells you anything! They’re crunchy, packed with flavour, and really easy to whip up for the holidays!
Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts:
Ingredients:
1lb brussels sprouts - trimmed and sliced in half
3 tbs maple syrup
3 tbs butter
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp garlic powder or 1-2 cloves of garlic
a few tbs of olive oil
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Heat oven to 450. Place your sliced sprouts in a bowl and toss with olive oil and salt. Place the sprouts on a tinfoil lined baking sheet and roast in the oven until brown and crispy - about 20 minutes. Once they are finished pop them to the side. In a small saucepan heat butter until browned, then add maple syrup, chili flakes and garlic. Stir together until it thickens slightly, then toss the sprouts and sauce in the same bowl from earlier. Coat well, and enjoy!
Entertainment I'm Loving:
I just started the new Murdaugh murder show and it has me supremely hooked already. The casting for this show is on another level - the likeness of the characters is genuinely jarring - right down to the Lily Pullitzer dresses! Watching while in South Carolina, right next to the town where the whole story unfolded, is very haunting.
Find of the Week:
I have been on the hunt for the perfect silk pant and I think my mission may finally be accomplished! I love the effortless chic vibe a wide leg silky pant gives - pair them with boots, flats or heels, a t-shirt, blouse or coat, and you have so many different looks from day to night. I didn’t want a pair that had no tie at the waist (aka pajamas), they need to be slightly high waisted, and have a flattering inseam. I think these hit all the points to become a wardrobe staple!

What I'm Reminding Myself:
Resistance is what is holding you back from the life you envision and want - when you feel that urge to procrastinate, not pick up a book even when you want to, or say to yourself “I can do that tomorrow” remember: it’s you resisting yourself. Push that voice aside and pick up the book, go for that run, cross off that task.
