The Farmhouse Edit: Edition 68

Hi friends!

Welcome to the 68th edition of The Farmhouse Edit: where we share what we’ve been coveting and discovering, from the best of beauty and beyond.

Find of the Week:

The Farmhouse Edit has been such an amazing place for us all to connect - I get countless emails from you guys telling me how you’ve loved a recommendation, adopted a new fav recipe, or are currently reading the same book I’ve shared. We’re all so connected! It’s about time the look of The Farmhouse Edit kept up with how amazing this community is! We have been working hard behind the scenes to design a new look - same Edit, just way more fun to scroll every Sunday. The inspiration takes it back to my roots and something that made me fall in love with fashion and beauty: classic magazines like Town & Country, InStyle and Vogue. I want it to feel like a luxurious piece of nostalgia you can flip through for weekly inspiration!

Beauty I’m Loving:

Other than our products, the only skincare I really love is Korean or Japanese. They have a beautiful way of keeping it simple yet highly effective, using very refined ingredients, and delivering real results. My skin has been flaring up (redness, irritation, and dry) with the colder weather and increase in indoor heating. I just did a great haul of a few new products that will absolutely become staples!

SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Moisture Cream: amazing lightweight face cream - I'm using this during the day.

Dr. Althea - 345 Relief Cream: great for irritated, dry, sensitive skin. It's a perfect evening face cream that is still gelly in texture and won't leave you greasy or weighed down.

Nivea Japan Lip Balm in Smoky Rose: super hydrating with a very subtle kiss of colour.

Entertainment I’m Loving:

Empire of the Elite is a fascinating peek behind the curtain of Condé Nast in its heyday. This book dives into the stories of brilliant and striving characters (like Anna Wintour and Si Newhouse) who were shaping publications like Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair (to name a few) and how they manufactured a vision of luxury, sophistication, consumer habits and political beliefs.

Recipe I’m Loving:

I finally got a pizza oven and I’m completely obsessed! Growing up every so often we would have the special treat of Classico Pizza and there was one pizza my mom and I LOVED. Til’ today I recreate it every time I make pizza so I’m sharing this family secret with you! No pizza oven necessary!

Here is my personal fav pizza dough recipe for a regular home oven - easy, always comes out flawless, and ready same day!

Pesto Broccoli, Sundried Tomato and Goat Cheese Pizza

Ingredients

1/4 cup Pesto - here is my fav easy recipe

1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes

1/4 cup goat cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella

1/4 cup blanched broccoli

4 tbs yellow cornmeal

Roll out your pizza dough onto some cornmeal for a delicious crust - it will stick to the bottom of your dough and crisp up in the oven for a very professional flavour. Spread pesto on your dough (leaving about 1 inch around the perimeter for your crust to rise), sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then place sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli, dot with goat cheese and finish with a sprinkling of maldon flaky salt.

Bake in your regular or pizza oven until everything is nice and crispy - enjoy!

What I’m Reminding Myself:

Devour the peaceful little moments - folding laundry in your cozy room, decorating a bedroom you can’t wait for a guest to occupy, making your morning coffee. You never know when they won’t feel so little anymore

Until next week! xo Amandine
