Recipe I'm Loving:

This creamy jalapeño-basil spread is the perfect summer lunch or app. It’s packed with protein, fibre and is incredibly easy to make. A few whole ingredients are blended up to create this delicious spread that you can enjoy with fresh veggies or on sourdough toast!

Edamame Spread Recipe:

original recipe from tiktok here

  • 1lb frozen, shelled edamame

  • 2 1/2 cups frozen chopped kale

  • 1 cup packed fresh basil

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1-2 jalapeños, seeds removed

  • 2 tsp white miso paste

  • Zest & Juice from 1 large lemon

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • Salt to taste

Directions: blend in a food processor and enjoy!

Entertainment I'm Loving:

David Sedaris has released a new book! I haven’t started it yet, still finishing Yesteryear, but you bet it’s already downloaded on my kindle ready to go! It’s a compilation of essays about living in England, caregiving for his partner Hugh and quirky observations about aging - count me in!

Find of the Week:

I’m going to utter a sentence I never thought possible, but we’re all friends here: my mother-in-law was right about percale sheets. I have always been pro-soft sheets, the silkier the better! One time I actually tried to buy full on silk sheets but then realized I would likely slip right out of them and had no desire to dry clean my sheets. I digress. My MIL showed me the wonders of crisp Italian percale sheets - they feel like slipping into a hotel bed and are much cooler for hot summer nights. As we do, my mom and I went on a deep dive to find the best percale sheets and turns out that L.L. Bean is known for the best, and extremely well priced percale sheets! You know I ordered them immediately.

We get so used to postponing our desires that we eventually forget what it is even we even want.
