Hi friends!
Welcome to the thirty sixth edition of The Farmhouse Edit: where we share what we’ve been coveting and discovering, from the best of beauty and beyond.
A Moment I’m Celebrating
I’m celebrating the first day of fall! While this season is fleeting I cannot wait to see the beautiful fall colours at The Farm. It is also the anniversary of us moving to The Farm - we moved there in October 2017 so it feels very nostalgic and makes us reflect on just how much has changed in our lives since moving to the country. I find seasons to be the time I really think back to past years, more so than birthdays or anniversaries. I feel like fall is the real start of the new year, a fresh start, where anything seems possible in the year to come.
Beauty Product I’m Loving:
I am obsessed with this beauty hack - it has made me love liquid eye liner again! I use my Eye Petals to guide the most perfect, snatched but natural, liquid liner. I was once complimented on how my liner looked like a natural extension of my lash line and that forever changed how I saw liquid liner. I once thought of it as a heavy glam look and I now see how it can be perfectly elevated. I made a quick video so you can try it too!
Entertainment I’m Loving:
I just started the book Small Giants and it is all about companies who want to build something special vs a large corporation or massive company. I find it such a refreshing perspective that validates so much of my thinking. Even if you don’t run a business I think the insight in this book is super helpful and can be applied to any job or industry and even life in general. It reminds us to think about why we’re doing something vs the external pressures we undergo daily.
Recipe I’m Loving:
My mom finally convinced me to try Marry Me Chicken (full recipe here) and wow am I glad! It was devoured by my husband and I and was requested the next night as well (I also ate it for lunch the next day lol). It is so easy, tasty, and warm - the perfect fall weeknight recipe! Here is a vid breaking down how to make it!
What We’re Reminding Ourselves:
If you’re finding yourself confused or overwhelmed by a situation think back to your ‘why’ and the answer will be very clear.
Until next week! xo Amandine
